Police are investigating a shooting that injured a young woman Wednesday night on the city's Northwest Side. The shooting happened at an athletic facility near Loop 1604 and Hausman, where a boys' basketball team from the Dallas area had been practicing. After practice, somebody took a gun onto the team's charter bus. An 18-year-old who is a trainer with the team was shot in the left ankle, apparently by accident. She's hospitalized with a non-life-threatening wound. Police don't know who pulled the trigger.
