For the first time ever, the price of regular unleaded gasoline has topped $4 per gallon in Texas.
AAA says the average statewide price hit $4.004 today. That's 85 cents more than a month ago and $1.45 more than a year ago.
Gas prices average $4.07 in Dallas, $3.96 in Houston, $3.96 in San Antonio, $3.95 in Waco, $4.19 in El Paso, $4.00 in Corpus Christi and $3.98 in Austin.
The national average is now at $4.318 per gallon.
