New data shows the number of abortions in Texas drastically declined after the state passed a strict pro-life bill last year. The Texas Health Department shows abortions in the Lone Star State dropped nearly 60% after the bill passed. The bill bans abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which is about six-weeks after conception. Abortions fell from just over 5,400 in August to just under 2,200 in September. Many Texas women are traveling to other states to get the procedure done.
