Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire at a historic El Paso hotel. The De Soto went up in flames Friday night just weeks after the city agreed to invest money into renovations of the hotel. Most of the upper floors of the century-old building were destroyed by the time firefighters contained the blaze. The De Soto is the site of the 'Boxing Hall of Fame' mural that celebrates famous boxers from the city. However, what the hotel may be most well known for is its alleged ghostly activity. Called 'the crown jewel of paranormal in Texas' by investigator Colin Browen, a film documenting its haunted history was just filmed in the hotel at the end of January.
