San Antonio police are reporting that in 2021 the city had the most homicides in 37-years. Police records say 160 people were murdered in San Antonio last year. That tops the 2015 spike of 151 murders, and is the most since 1994, when there were 194 killings. The police department issued a statement that said, apart from family violence, most murders went along with other risky behavior. They stated that people who don't engage in criminal activity have a very low risk of being a victim of violence.
