Gov. Greg Abbott wants the federal government to open more coronavirus testing sites in Texas and ship more monoclonal antibody treatments. Amid rising numbers of cases and hospitalizations because of the omicron variant, Abbott made the requests of the Biden administration on Friday. The governor asked for more test sites in Bexar, Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Hidalgo and Cameron Counties, because of their high positivity and hospitalization rates.
