San Antonio residents are hurrying to local vaccination sites to get their shots before Christmas. About 500 people a day have been rolling up their sleeves at the county's vaccination site at Wonderland of the Americas. A University Health spokesman said he expected the number would hit a thousand on Monday. He says it's a good time for it, with the kids out of school and families planning to get together for Christmas. Unvaccinated people spooked by the rapid growth of the omicron variant are rushing to get their shots as well.
