Texans Hand Jags Sixth Straight Loss

The Texans snapped a three-game losing skid as they beat the Jaguars 30-16 in Jacksonville. Rookie quarterback Davis Mills threw for 209 yards, two touchdowns and a pick to help Houston improve to 3-and-11. He connected twice in the end zone with Brandin Cooks, who exploded for 102 yards on seven receptions. Tremon Smith added to the winning effort with a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter. Jacksonville is now positioned for the top draft pick as it fell to 2-and-12. Trevor Lawrence had a quiet game with 210 yards on 22-of-38 pass attempts. James Robinson was a bright spot with 75 rushing yards and a score. The Jaguars have lost six straight.
