San Antonio City Council is embarking on a ten-year plan to ensure more affordable housing in the city. Council members approved the Strategic Housing Implementation Plan on Thursday, with a goal to help 95,000 Bexar County households at the greatest risk of housing instability. City staff says housing supply isn't keeping up with population growth, driving up the cost of housing. Bexar County, the San Antonio Housing Authority, and the San Antonio Housing Trust are expected to adopt the plan as well.
