The U.S. Air Force has discharged 27 service members for not following the Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

These service members may be the first to be discharged for refusing the vaccine.

Forces were given until November 2nd to get the vaccine, though many refused or sought exemption.

Ann Stefanek, a spokesperson for the Air Force, said the 27 service members were younger, lower-ranking staff.

None of the 27 discharged members sought a religious, medical, or administrative exemption.
