A San Marcos teenager is charged with setting fire to an Austin synagogue on Halloween night. Austin Fire Department arson investigators say 18-year-old Franklin Sechrist was arrested on suspicion of arson. Surveillance video shows Sechrist driving around in the area of Congregation Beth Israel two-nights before the fire. Video also shows a man carrying a five-gallon gas can onto the campus of the temple on Shoal Creek Boulevard near 35th Street the night of October 31st. The fire only damaged the doors of the building.
