Police say the suspect in a fatal shooting on the city's West Side is on the run. Officers responded Sunday night to the reported shooting on Jesse Avenue at Southwest 38th Street. Police found a man who had been shot several times, as well as a stolen handgun that was lying beside him. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police they saw the suspect running through yards and climbing over fences. The medical examiner and homicide detectives are trying to identify the victim.
