The GOP is successfully flipping a Texas House seat in the San Antonio area. Republican John Lujan closely defeated Democrat Frank Ramirez in Tuesday's special election runoff. Lujan won 51-percent of the vote, compared to 49-percent for Ramirez. The two candidates were competing for the District 118 seat after Leo Pacheco, a San Antonio Democrat, stepped down earlier this year to take a job at San Antonio College. Lujan briefly held the seat in 2016. Ramirez is a former staffer at the Texas Legislature and the San Antonio City Council.
