American Airlines is dealing with a ton of flight cancellations. The Texas-based airline has canceled more than one-thousand flights since Friday. It's blaming staffing problems and gusty winds for the disruptions. On Saturday, the airline canceled 460 flights, or 17% of its main schedule. American canceled another 285 flights, or 10% of its schedule, for Sunday. The company's COO said in a staff memo on Saturday that the problems started with high wind gusts on Thursday which cut capacity at its Dallas/Fort Worth International hub and that knocked crew members out of position for their next flights.
