A rematch of the 2018 ALCS is getting underway tonight in Houston. The Astros welcome the Red Sox to town as each seeks a trip to the World Series. Houston sends left-hander Framber Valdez to the mound for the series opener as Lance McCullers Jr. is dealing a forearm injury. Opposite Valdez is southpaw Chris Sale for Boston. The Red Sox pulled off an upset of the defending AL champion Rays in the ALDS. The Astros advanced to their fifth straight ALCS after beating the White Sox.
