Governor Abbott is warning Texans to get ready for the effects of Pamela. The governor directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management Tuesday to place response and recovery resources on standby with the storm expected to move through Texas this week. Abbott urged Texans to listen to local officials, and to prepare for heavy rainfall and flash flooding. Pamela is expected to make landfall as a Category One hurricane in Mexico Wednesday morning before drenching the Lone Star State.
