Texas on Friday reported fewer than nine-thousand patients in the hospital for coronavirus for the first time since August 7th. On Friday, there were 8,663 people hospitalized in Texas with the virus, as the state's numbers continue to improve. Hospitalizations reached a summer high of nearly 14,000 in late August. The pandemic high was more than 14,200 Texans hospitalized in January.
