The Astros drew some timely walks as they beat the Rays 4-3 in Houston. Chas McCormick and Jason Castro each walked with the bases-loaded in the bottom of the ninth to deliver Houston a walk-off victory. Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman each went deep for the Astros, who snapped a four-game losing skid. Phil Maton earned his fifth win in relief, despite allowing a run. Yandy Diaz and Randy Arozarena each clubbed homers for Tamp Bay, which had won four straight coming into the game. Josh Fleming took his seventh loss in relief.
