Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is threatening fines for local governments that mandate COVID-19 vaccines for their workers.
The announcement came from Gainesville where city employees are suing over the mandate.
The Governor says the fines will be $5000. He also mentioned the new law passed by the legislature that keeps businesses and local governments from demanding "vaccine passports."
That law does not prevent those places from requiring employees to get vaccinated.
