The Texans will have a new starting quarterback for the team's season opener this weekend. Houston head coach David Culley officially announced Tyrod Taylor as the team's starter against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Taylor takes the place of Deshaun Watson, who remains on the team's roster despite a trade request and 22 pending civil lawsuits against him. The Texans will roll with 32-year-old Taylor and have rookie Davis Mills serve as his backup. Taylor was named the starter for the Los Angeles Chargers last season, but suffered a punctured lung after Week One and went on to lose his starting position.
