Tourists and travelers are returning to San Antonio, and the local tourism industry is glad to see them. Visit San Antonio says hotel occupancy numbers rose from just under 61% in May to nearly 74% in July. That's closing in on the nearly 77% pre-pandemic rate of July 2019. The July occupancy rate also puts San Antonio ahead of other Texas cities, including Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Visit San Antonio says nearly two-dozen conventions are still scheduled for this year.
