Texas GOP Passes Election Bill

Texas is passing a bill that proponents say will protect the integrity of elections. Critics call it restrictive. The law will ban overnight and drive-thru early voting, add new ID requirements for absentee voting, and will subject partisan poll watchers and those helping voters cast ballots to new rules and regulations. The bill has been called "Jim Crow Two-point-Oh" by Democrats, who walked out several times to attempt to block the bill. They say the bill will disproportionately affect black and Latino populations in the state. Republicans say the bill is necessary to combat voter fraud.
