Jared Dudley is confirming he's joining the Mavericks as an assistant coach. Dudley tweeted Tuesday afternoon he's been preparing for coaching for a long time and calls it a perfect fit. He says he talked to multiple players and coaches about the opportunity including LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, and Nets coach Steve Nash. Dudley played 14 years in the NBA winning a title with the Lakers in 2020, where Mavs head coach Jason Kidd served as an assistant.
