Governor Issues Another Executive Order Banning COVID Vax Mandates

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is issuing another executive order banning coronavirus vaccine mandates. Abbott says government agencies cannot force anyone to get the inoculation nor can they require proof of vaccination. Businesses receiving grants, contracts, loans, or taxpayer money are also banned from asking for proof of vaccination status. The governor says the new EO supersedes any local orders requiring people to get the shot. San Antonio ISD issued a vaccine mandate this week after the FDA gave full approval to the Pfizer vaccine. The Texas Legislature passed a bill during the regular session banning governments and businesses from requiring proof of vaccination status. Abbott signed the bill in June.
