A Texas House committee is once again advancing the GOP-backed election reform bill. The House Select Committee on Constitutional Rights and Remedies voted 9-5 along party lines to move Senate Bill 1 to the full House. However, the committee decided to replace the senate bill with language from House Bill 3, their own election legislation. The vote comes after 13 more Democrats returned to the chamber Monday to solidify a quorum.
