Taliban leaders are warning of possible 'consequences' if U.S. evacuation efforts continue beyond the August 31st deadline.
Speaking to the UK's Sky News, a Taliban spokesperson said: "If the US or UK were to seek additional time to continue evacuations - the answer is no. Or there would be consequences".
He added that remaining in the country beyond the 31st "will provoke a reaction".
On Sunday, President Biden said there had been "discussions" about extending the deadline, but that "the hope is that we will not have to extend".
