Illinois high schools will be teaching students to spot 'fake news'.

The state is adding 'media literacy' to the curriculum, as part of a new law that takes effect with the 2022/23 school year.

Students will analyze news content on multiple platforms, learning how to do their own fact-checking and spot misinformation.
