The Texas Supreme Court is ruling in favor of Governor Greg Abbott and House Speaker Dade Phelan on legislator arrests. Justices issued a stay late this morning preventing a lower court's temporary restraining order from going into effect. Abbott and Phelan want House Democrats to be civilly arrested and returned to the Texas Capitol to make sure there's a quorum. Democrats left the Texas Capitol last month for Washington, DC in protest of an elections bill they're calling voter suppression.
