Mississippi's attorney general is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe V. Wade.
In a brief, Attorney General Lynn Fitch claimed "The conclusion that abortion is a constitutional right has no basis" in text, tradition, structure, or history.
Fitch added the case for overruling is "overwhelming."
The 1973 landmark decision legalized abortion across the country. The request comes as the Supreme Court will review Mississippi's ban on most abortions after 15 weeks.
