Detroit Approves Reparations Question For Ballot

A measure is moving forward in Detroit to pay reparations to Black residents. 

The city council approved a resolution yesterday to put a question about reparations on the November ballot. But first, an election commission has to approve the language. 

The council leader who introduced the bill in April says it's about repairing damage and making amends for "racist practices of the past."
