C-P-S Energy is warning of a new scam targeting their customers. The utility said people are receiving phone calls from a fake CPS representative threatening to disconnect their service if a fee is not paid. The company said it will never call you to demand payment, and will never ask customers for their banking information. Those worried by the scammers are encouraged to call C-P-S to ensure their account is in good standing.
