The AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Texas is $2.77 a gallon for regular unleaded. That price is up two-cents from a week ago, and is 89-cents more than a year ago. Rising crude prices and higher demand are likely to push pump prices higher ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The national average is $3.09. The average price at the pump in San Antonio is $2.66
