Governor Greg Abbott signs the Vanessa Guillen Act into law in the state of Texas. SB-623 sponsor state Senator Cesar Blanco says now an active member of the military can go outside the chain of command to report acts of abuse. The law was named after Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen who died at the hand of a fellow soldier.
