Several boaters are safe on dry land after nearly falling over the edge of Longhorn Dam on Thursday afternoon. Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services responded to a call about a boat with several people on board that was perched on the edge of the dam near North Pleasant Valley Road. EMS and Austin police sent out a lake patrol boat, tossed everybody a life jacket, attached a rope, and pulled the boat to safety.
