Republicans like Texas Senator John Cornyn are blasting Vice President Kamala Harris for her failure to visit the U.S. border. Harris is back in D.C. after a trip to Guatemala and Mexico, where she examined what she calls the "root causes" of the current surge in illegal immigration. Harris claims she's working with Central American countries to improve living conditions in hopes of stopping the ongoing flood of illegal immigrants. Cornyn says the White House is ignoring the border states' pleas for help.
