The White House is giving up on its attempt to ban the wildly popular social media app TikTok in the U.S.
In 2020, the Trump administration tried to ban the app unless it sold off its North American operations to a U.S. company.
This week, the Biden administration dropped that executive order, instead calling for an investigation into the app and its Chinese connections.
