The weather ended the first-ever NASCAR race in Austin early yesterday, but it was still a great debut for the Circuit of the Americas. Chase Elliott was declared the winner of the NASCAR Cup Series EchoPark Texas Grand Prix with 14 laps remaining after a second red flag on the rain-soaked track. The first red flag was waved after an early crash between Cole Custer and Martin Truex Junior that left Custer's car in flames. Austin is Elliott's first win of the 2021 season.
