Officials are identifying human remains found at a West Side trailer park last month as those of a missing toddler. Police confirmed Wednesday that the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office had identified the remains as 18-month-old James Chairez. The boy and his mother, 20-year-old D'Lanny Chairez, both disappeared in January. After the mother turned up, she was charged with abandoning or endangering a child and tampering with evidence. The positive ID may lead to upgraded charges against the boy's mother. Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause of the boy's death and when he died.
