Today's tax deadline also brings some good news for many Americans.
Roughly 39-million American families will start receiving monthly child tax credit payments in mid-July.
The payments are covered by the massive COVID stimulus bill that was passed in March.
The bill raised the maximum payments families can receive per child this year, from 2,000 to 3,600 dollars.
The White House called it vital tax relief for hard working families.
