What started as a pitchers duel finished as a 5-1 Astros victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Lance McCullers Jr. went toe-to-toe against Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani, who struck out 10 while allowing one run, four hits and one walk in seven innings before Houston's bats broke loose against the LA bullpen. Yuli Gurriel homered for the Astros in a four-run eighth inning. McCullers allowed three hits while tying a season high with nine strikeouts in eight innings. The three-game series is split at a game each with the finale tonight.
