Texas House Passes Election Bill, Sending It Back To Senate

An election bill is headed back to the Texas Senate after being passed by the Texas House. Representatives signed off on the measure this afternoon following hours of debate. Republicans argue the bill brings about more transparency in elections, particularly involving poll watchers. Democrats are calling it voter suppression because it won't let county clerks send out mail-in ballots unsolicited. It will likely end up in a conference committee because of amendments added to the bill during House debate.
