Lubbock will become the nation's largest city to ban abortion. About 62 percent of city voters said "yes" to making Lubbock a "Sanctuary City for the unborn." The proposition instructs the city of Lubbock to enact an ordinance that outlaws abortion in the city and declares the status of sanctuary city. Mayor Dan Pope says the ordinance could go into effect as early as June 1st.
