A man and a woman from Austin are accused of human trafficking of illegal immigrants. The Gillespie County sheriff's office says the 33-year-old man and the 20-year-old woman were arrested early Saturday after a brief high-speed chase on 290. The suspects, whose names haven't been released, were arrested along with five others, who were found to be in the country illegally. Three other suspected illegals bailed out and ran off when the car slowed down near a convenience store. Those three are still at large.
