DHS Extends Travel Restrictions At US-Mexico Border

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security will continue to restrict travel at the border for another month. Entry into the U.S. from Mexico and Canada has been limited to essential travel since March of last year. Those restrictions were set to expire yesterday, but have now been extended to May 21st. The order will continue to keep tourists and shoppers from Mexico from traveling to Texas by car, plane and rail because those activities are considered non-essential.
