Vanessa Guillen's family and supporters are hosting a week of events to honor her memory. The 20-year-old Army specialist from Houston went missing from Fort Hood a year ago. Her remains were found in a shallow grave near the post more than two-months later. She was evidently murdered by a fellow soldier who later committed suicide. Guillen's death led to an investigation of conditions at Fort Hood. Today's event is the dedication of the Vanessa Guillen gate at the fort.
