Kyle Gibson pitched seven strong innings while Nick Solak and Charlie Culberson drove in three runs apiece in an 8-3 victory for the Rangers over the Rays. The victory snapped a season-high four-game losing streak. Texas was shut out in three of its previous four games, but the win ensured the Rangers would not make franchise history by being blanked in three consecutive games. The four-game series continues tonight.
