San Antonio City Council members are receptive to the changes in the Alamo Plan that were presented on Wednesday. The revised plan no longer calls for the Cenotaph to be moved, an unpopular idea that was nixed by the Texas Historical Commission last September. Proposed rails around the site have been replaced by distinctive paving stones. Some streets would still be closed to traffic, but not to parades such as the Battle of Flowers. The city council is scheduled to vote on the revised plan and related matters a week from today.
