Ohio's Stand Your Ground Expansion Goes Into Effect Today

A new law going into effect in Ohio expands so-called 'stand your ground' rights.

The new law eliminates the requirement for someone to retreat before shooting someone in self-defense.

In court cases, prosecutors will also have to prove that someone claiming they shot in self-defense was not justified in the shooting, as opposed to the shooter having to prove they were justified.
