The Stanford Cardinal are the 2020-21 NCAA women's basketball national champions. Top-seed held on to beat three-seed Arizona 54-53 in San Antonio, despite a furious comeback by the Wildcats. Aari McDonald had a chance to win it for Arizona, but was triple-teamed and couldn't hit the go-ahead bucket at the buzzer. Haley Jones finished with 17 for the Cardinal, which win the third title in program history and the first since 1992. McDonald had 22 for the 'Cats.
