Texas Bill Would Mandate National Anthem Before Games

The Texas legislature is considering whether to require the National Anthem to be played before every sports game. The bill would require pro teams that get public funding to play "The Star-Spangled Banner" or they'd have to give back the money. Critics say the measure is like something from the McCarthy era, when Americans were urged to publicly reject communism. But State Senator Dawn Buckingham, who introduced the bill, says it has universal support.
